Every Monday afternoon I start to get a twinge of Excitement, not because it's Monday,{Hah!}but I know,tomorrow is Tuesday and that means Flea Market. My brain starts racing, wondering which vendor will be there, the crazy jewelry guy who has more old rhinestone and finds than anyone Ive ever seen, {every time I see him he has a new crazy story to tell me}. Maybe the Funny Costume lady will be there with her wares waiting to tell me stories of the Studios and Actors from many years ago. When I get close, my heart starts racing and if I see lots of cars in the lot, I start figuring out a strategy of what isle to hit first and which vendor to look for. When I am Junkin and Jewelry Hunting I'm in the "Zone"my eyes don't stop moving and my brain is thinking, what could I do with that! Most Thrilling to me, when I find something I Love or have been looking for and I know what it is worth, I take the leap and ask, "how much are you asking", I think sometimes I even hold my breath waiting for a answer, if they offer a low price, I'm Screaming on the inside, cool as a cucumber on the outside. I hand over the money and walk away with a Huge smile! I honestly think I Love the Looking and Finding as much as I Love making the Jewelry. Does this make sense or am I Crazy? This weeks haul at the Flea Market got me really thinking , maybe it's like a drug, "the thrill of the find!" Have a Wonderful Weekend,Jamie

You Said it Girl..... That is the way I feel when I hit garage sales & flea markets.... I just Hate going alone~ so if I am ever out in S.California, I will make sure it is a Tuesday & Look You Up!

I know exactly how you feel Jamie, the only problem is the fun of the hunt sometimes leads me to buy things I really don't need or even know what to do with! How fun that you get to flea on a Tuesday...makes the week a lot better I'm sure!!

I know exactly how you feel. I get the same way when I am on the hunt! My heart races and I get so excited I can barely contain it, but I never, never let them see too much excitement and I try to play it cool, too! That's how we get the great deals, right?
I feel exactly the same way when I go to the thrift store. It's like a treasure hunt.

I know exactly what you are talking about! I had a vivid dream last night that i was on the hunt for finds and was acting uninterested in a few pieces until the person before me left.. too funny!

yep! i know this feeling - it's that flea market fever that hits us as we are driving in. i start to feel myself getting anxious if i am stuck behind a slow driver. like, don't they realize there are deals to be found? come on! i start getting the jitters on wed. when i know i am hitting the flea on thurs. bummer around here though is that it's getting colder and the flea markets will really slow down now til spring. kind of sad....
