What is with the Change of Season

Monday, October 12, 2009

That leads to wanting to change things up?Than one thing leads to another and than, a SnowBall of things! Does this happen to you when a change of Season comes around, it makes me want to Re-do or ReVamp. This is the Story of my Life! What started with some New Appliances led to, me having to make some other changes to the kitchen. Little cabinets above the microwave that were stuffed with lots of bottles of forgotten products, really felt the need to take the doors off. Don't even ask why? I just had a vision of some of my Old Finds displayed up there. Added some paint and "Good Ole Flea Market Finds" and I really like how it came out. Next the kitchen window, I had 3 yards of Burlap left over from Artistic Affaire and what a better place to add it. Just draped it over the rod and added some ribbon for a Balloon style shade. I really love it and it lets in so much light. Next, the Kids Bathroom, Why, Why, Why.....No real reason, just felt like it. Went over well with the teen but the boy, thinks it's a bit to "Girlie" Can't ever please everyone can you? I won't even show you the living room window treatments or the frame re-do's I did. I wouldn't want you to think I can't stop. You know I just have so much time on my hands, I just don't know what to do with myself next????? Hmmmmm....I only wish. Huge Thank you to my friend Kasey for Hosting a Wonderful Simply Me Give Away! It was so much Fun and Thank you to all the Fabulous Ladies who entered. I am visiting lots of new Blogs, Love it. You did a great job - looks good! I took the door off the cabinet over my sink and put a wine rack up there,
as it was just to high for daily use.

This is so perfect! You have no idea how much I needed to read about you redo-ing your kitchen! Just today I went to Lowes to buy two little paint sample cans of grey-ish paint and now I am FINALLY going to start the "facelift" on my kitchen (after 8 years in the house!). It's just to hold me over until we can gut the room, but I've been frozen not doing anything for too long! Thanks for the inspiration! I'll take "before" pics (though I'd rather not even show it in this condition!). ;)

Everything looks GREAT Jamie!!

Congrats to the winner of the jewelry from Kasey's blog!

P.S. You probably can't pick it out, but on the dressform in the photos of the new giant black canvas bags I blogged about, is the necklace I got from you!!

When I or my daughter are not wearing it, it stays there on the dressform -- cuz it's just so stinkin gorge!! :)

I've been thinking about a similar fabric idea - but I don't sew - this is great! I'm tearing down an old fruit border - brightening everything up - adding creams, whites, sea foam - beach glass and this will be perfect! Thanks, Jennifer
