My Favorite Gift to Give~2010

Wednesday, December 29, 2010

This Year I made Several Candles to Give as Gifts! There Easy and Fun to Create and so Far Every person I gave one too, Loved them. Choose any Candle, I prefer the larger wider candles. I usually go very neutral on the Color and accent with either a piece of ribbon, burlap, or fabric. I've also used Vintage Hankies too. Add a touch of lace and rhinestone chain around the ribbon. I use good old E6000! Than I add a Focal Piece, something really loaded with sparkle, a Old rhinestone clip, brooch, big earring what ever you prefer. It doesn't have to be Vintage just Big and Sparkling. Thats it, Easy as can be. I usually give a few tea light candles along to, this way they can burn big candle down just a bit and add the tea lights after that. Wrap them up in Tulle with some ribbon and there you have it!It's Romantic, Sparkling and Hand Made, All things Women Love.

We NEED it Always, just NOT all at once. Looks like we have more on the way. Ive been holed up in the house with Presents that need wrapping, Muffins that need baking, Jewelry that needs finishing and KIDS...Lots and Lots of Kids. No Outside time when  it's Raining Buckets. Here are a Few Christmas Orchids and Blooming Cactus. I Hope your Week is Wonderful.

~Gifting The Hostess~

Saturday, December 11, 2010

Hostess Gifts Stress me Out! This year, I'm not Hosting Hanukkah or Christmas, we are Lucky enough to be heading to Families houses. I try to always come up with something Creative and something I know they won't buy for themselves. This year, I am going with Flower Bulbs, Paper Whites to be Exact! I Love Bulbs, the whole starting out as a brown Bulb and growing into a Beautiful Flower is so Pretty. Of course, I had to add Sparkle to my Bulbs with some Vintage and New Rhinestone, You can Never have enough Sparkle. For a little Something to Give, I Love these Big Chocolate Bars, they have the most Decorative wrapping. I picked some up last Year at Home Goods and they were a Huge hit, so, I don't need another excuse to hit Home Goods. Love this Years wrapping also, just a bit of pretty ribbon and a small tag with a little hand written something and there you go. I Treasure the Hostess Gifts I'm given, I really do. Do you have any special Hostess Gift Ideas?! I would Love some more ideas....

I'm Pretty Sure,

The Holiday's should ONLY be seen through a Child's Eyes! After a Weekend with a Dreamy 2 year Old that couldn't contain her Excitement, I Only Wish We could All feel this way. No Running around trying to find the Right Gift, Trying to get a descent photo for a Holiday Card that will be thrown away anyway, Baking, Baking and more Baking. Not to mention wrapping and standing in line at the Damn Post Office from Hell. I will be Honest, I don't generally look forward to the Holiday Season! HA, I said it, I'm Not a Scrooge but I stress out enough in my Every Day Life, why do I need another month of it. I want to have the Excitement and Anticipation that Kids Feel. I want Big Eyes and a Happy Heart like Autumn had this weekend. I'm letting the Chips Fall where they Fall this Year, what gets done that's Great what doesn't, Oh Well! Life is Too Short. We had such a Fun Weekend just Celebrating! Have a Great Week

8~ Great Nights....7..6...OK, Maybe 5 We'll See.....

Friday, December 3, 2010

Hanukkah began a Few Nights ago! I made a BIG Deal this Year for the First Night of Hanukkah, I wanted it to be really Special for the Kids mainly. The Table was all Decorated, Gifts Were Wrapped and Ready to be open. Jeff picked up Deli to eat. The kids each had a Friend over to Celebrate and right as we were going to light the Menorah, Emily became Violently Sick........OYE VEY...
I Swear to you, It was like a Scene from Seinfeld, Not so Funny at the Time, but we were ALL laughing later. My Poor Girl and I don't say that lightly with the year the two of us have had. So, my BIG Grand Hanukkah Celebration Ideas Flew right out the Window. In between helping my Very Sick Girl, I served Dinner, gave out Gifts, tried to Photo and keep a Smile on my Face.
So We made it through, Each child Excited with their Gifts and their Friends seeming to have a Good Time in all the Sick Chaos.
Like I say almost Daily in our House, "NEVER A DULL MOMENT!" Did I think Hanukkah would be any Different?!
Have a Wonderful Weekend, Little Miss Autumn is Coming Sunday for more Celebrating and my Fingers are Crossed that No One is Sick...

What I Wore Wednesday....

The Holiday's are Busy for us this Year so, I'm Glad Hanukkah falls Early, (the kids are too). When I wasn't in P.J.'s or Sweats in the last week here were a few outfits that were Semi-photo Worthy. I Hope your Week is going Wonderful~
